APR Stage 2 and beyond - Oil, spark plugs and coilpacks

Hey guys, a few questions here.

I'm APR Stage 2+. Fully plan on going to stage 3 when it's released.

What type of oil is everyone using? How frequently should I change it?

I see everyone is using the red top coil packs off of r8s? Are all red cap coilpacks the ones I want? What spark plugs and gaps should I be running??

How about DV's? Worth upgrading?

Before I bought this 2.0T I had a 1.8T but had been out of the VAG performance scene for a few years. I'm just looking for a push in the right direction. Thanks guys.

R8 coils aren't really necessary.

No point in upgrading DV if youre planning to go stage 3.

I use NGK PFR7B's gapped to 0.028

What about oil and frequency of change? What brand and weight is everyone using? It's a daily driver that gets beat up on every once in a while. No winter/subzero tempersture driving.

My recent stage 2 tune up coincided with my 50k service, so I changed the coil packs to the R8 ones, NGK spark plugs gapped at .028 (don't remember model but it's in my build thread in my sig), and changed oil, first time using Shell Rotella T6. I used VCDS to change my oil change interval to every 5k, so that'll be my new standard.

If you don't go with the high falutin plugs then no.

I change my oil every 5k and use 0w40 Mobil 1 from Walmart it's like $24 for the 5qt jug. As for stage two I plan on installing my hfc, awe dp, tr8 ic, afe filter and Gfb dv+ next weekend and plan to get tuned at waterfest. I will likely upgrade plugs and coils at 50k but just replaced at 35k so I have some time.

Dude we are doing pretty much the same thing haha. I'm installing those same types of parts. Are there going to be some deals at waterfest??

I know they have at previous events and also other events this year so fingers crossed they will be there doing tunes since I plan on going stage 2 from stock. Spoke with Arin on another thread and he said $611.50 for stage 2 installed

And yeah that seems to be the recipe for our cars. I am think also adding water/meth but still running 93 tune just to keep things cooler and it seems to keep our internals cleaner from carbon

I always mix H20 and Waterfest up
