DIS is telling me the hood is open when it is obviously closed.

When I park the car in the garage I sometimes open the hood to let it cool off. I'll turn the car off then open the hood. And when I come back the next day I'll close the hood then enter the car and start it. Almost every time after starting the car it will tell me that the hood is open. I'll have to pop the hood, get out and close it again- which will turn the light off every time I follow these steps...

I've looked at the mechanism that detects the hood being closed and everything seems fine.

    anyone else have this issue?

Same thing happened on mine a few times. I just opened it and slammed it, then the light turned off. The sensor seems rather sensitive
