Yes it does. On an '03 it connects directly to the intake manifold.

Thx. Is the side port of the sjp supposed to have suction at all times?
I m trying to replace my old sjp with another but upon installing i hear a vaccum leak and the aforementioned hose #10 is collapsed under vaccum! I also put in a new check valve inside the T hose today. Any ideas?

The check valve inside the "T" is your PCV valve. The SJP will will pull vacuum as long as the intake manifold is under vacuum. Have you replaced hose #10? Sometimes the hydrocarbon vapors weaken the hose and cause it to collapse.

One other thing to check. With the engine at idle remove the oil filler cap. Does it come off easily or does it appear to be sucked down hard?

Is this the valve you replaced in the "T"?

Yes that is indeed what I replaced. I believe I have solved the mystery. Turns out the new ebay special sjp was no good. The one way mechanism was dead on arrival and wss applying constant suction to the split y port. A quick trip to my local autozone solved the issue. Thx again.
