Front wheels not clearing after brake service

So today I installed some new Posi quiet pads and Adam's rotors. I removed the old rotors and pads, reset the caliper, and installed the new sets. After finishing this, putting the wheels back on, and lowering the car, I realized my wheels weren't clearing the front calipers. Any idea why? Thanks

How do you put the wheels on again and fit?

The HP2 calipers are floating calipers. So the outside of the caliper moves inward as the pads wear down. When you put new pads on, the outside of the caliper is pushed back out towards the wheel. Best solution is most likely to run spacers in order to clear the calipers.

Your wheel offset is not correct and with new pads and rotors installed the calipers are further towards the wheels than they where before causing them the contact the wheels. My guess is You will need at 5mm spacers to clear the calipers now.

As long as your wheel is still sitting on the hubcentric lip of the hub you will be fine. If not... You run the risk of vibrations if you don't center up the wheel real well.

you can have hubcentric spacers made. depending on the inner hub diameter of your wheel (wider = better) -- they're pretty cheap and reliable. i really don't like the bolt on spacers as you lose the hub-centering as 1) it's a pia to mount 2) it's prone to vibrations due to improper centering. best route is of course to get a better fitting wheel.

I ended up throwing on the 5mm spacers and they clear fine now. Although they're not hub centric, I spend a good amount of time centering them. I'll just have to keep them on for a bit until the pads are worn down some.
