Hello Audizine members. Thanks for clicking on my post. I am having a really strange issue and I am hoping someone can help.

    Here are the details:
    • Car - 2010 Q7 3.6 Premium Plus
    • MMI- 3G+ Navigation
    • Problem

Cannot switch main display to show avg/MPG, digital spedometer, Current Trip, or any other trip computer functions when using Reset button and toggle switch on WiperBlade stalk.

This car was purchased from my father in law and it seems like it’s in great condition but I have this one small issue that I cannot solve. No matter what I do I cannot change the main display to show any trip computer data. I have gone into Car/Settings to make sure both Trip computer 1 and Trip computer 2 have been reset. I have also toggled all the attributes on and off just to make sure they are enabled. Interestingly in this menu I can also choose to display things in metric or US settings and I can manipulate those and see it change on display but still its only showing outside temp and miles to empty albeit in metric format.

I read the manual and I am sure I am following the process but it’s not working. The display stays stuck on displaying outside temperature and miles to empty. I took it to Audi and they tried following the same procedure and it did not work for them either. I can pay them a $176 dollars to investigate but before I go down the rabbit hole I thought I would ask the group.

I am wondering if there isn’t something that has been done via the Vag-Com settings that I need to go back and enable. Does anyone have a clue if this kind of setting is something that can be manipulated with a Vag-Com? I notice that I do have the “needle sweep” enabled which is a known modification you can do but since I am the second owner I have no way to tell if it left the factory that way or was done afterwards.

I am at the end of my rope and have no other options to pursue. I was hoping someone out there might have an idea as to how to fix this problem. If I have to live with miles to empty and outside temp so be it. I have posted a video on Youtube as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3jkOZFuhck

Similar thing happened to me when enabling gauge sweep in Vag Com on B8 A4 - I accidentally disabled Driver Information System (Byte 1, Bit 2 on my car). When I re-enabled everything worked. May be same thing.
