Professionally Detailed S4

Hey AZ! I just thought I would share these pictures with you. My car has been at a local detailer today for approx. 7 hours. Well, I just checked his Facebook page, and he's uploaded pictures of my engine bay. Take into account, this vehicle is a 2015 with 20k miles on it. Enjoy!

- 7hrs seems about right if no serious paint contamination ( no need to clay/IronX) ask if he used Carpro Essence - I can say I use it on my silver and it makes it POP - which is hard to do w/any silver paint. Also, Essence can be a one step polish/sealer using just a finishing pad...it is a amazing product.

What type of ceramic did you go with? If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for that complete package?

Intake is next on my radar, but I've been pouring through forum posts and I'm having a really hard time deciding which intake I'll like best. Fitment and quality is important to me. I'd like a little supercharger whine as well. I'm leaning towards the ECS Kohlefaser Luft-Technik at this point.

The detail package with $310. I usually do my own detail work, but since I just purchased this car I thought I'd get a nice base detail.

Not sure what ceramic you got but if you got everything you say you did I would say you got a deal of the year. I would go back every year for that price.

Can't go wrong with that choice of intake, pick it up.

likely had more than one person working on the car. besides, it's pretty new.

Must have had multiple people doing it to do it in 7 hours or they only did a one step and minimal prep. Myself working on a customer car, if it's getting a two-step and coating I usually have 14+ hours into it easy. Hell of a price though! My paint correction and coating packages I offer start around 3x that price and go up!

Also Essence is a glaze. it works by filling, not correcting. Amazing product none the less.

I doubt his car required a two step process. Most all of the higher quality compounds and polishes are spectacular at removing even moderate imperfections and finish out beautifully. HDPolish with a pair of Flex 3401's and hybrid pads will roll through an S4. Coatings all depend on the detailers experience but even then they don't take forever.

I did an entire minvan several weeks back in 8hrs by myself and that was using HDAdapt. No coating just some Finish Kare 1000P to top it off.

I think the detail is fine!

I got my car detailed about a month ago and it was around $500. Nothing super special, just a complete clean inside and out as well as Zymol Vintage Wax. I could have gone with another guy for nearly $1000, but the car will get dirty in just a few days. I don't think there is a need to spend oodles of money in order to get a nice detail. Paint correction on the other hand is completely different IMO and not necessarily related to detailing the vehicle.

read on nano coating , ceramic coating. have your favorite drink next to you as you will see tons of marketing claims :)

Basically just a paint coating. Much more durable than a paint sealant or wax.
