    Two bangs and no power?

So driving home last night, coasting down a hill, I hear and feel a loud bang from the back end of the car, then after a few seconds it happens again, so I pull over, everything looks fine, I go to take off and when I let the clutch out I hear a god awed up noise from the rear end area of the car. Sounds like a shaft spinning in a coupler. I get underneath and have my buddy let out the clutch and I can see the drive shaft spinning into the rear end. I couldn't get a good look at the rear Cv shafts. So does this sound like a rear diff failure or a cv joint? Thanks for any input! Btw the car has all the mods in the sig and 111,000 miles.

So after taking off the rear tires, both cv shafts spin awesome and have no play, however when you spin one, the other won't move. Looks like the rear end is going to have to come out and now I should probably start hunting for a rear end. Yeee hawww

So just a little info on what happened, the spider gears in the diff let go and bound up. No idea how it happened, but put in a 200$ used one off eBay and works awesome now
