P2432 - anybody get this code?

I have a 2010 A6 and my car just threw a CEL while driving home today. My scanner shows a P2432 (Secondary Air Flow/Pressure Sensor Circuit Low). Anybody throw this code before? I'm thinking it's a faulty MAP sensor, but I've never seen this code before so I don't want to just throw money at it.

Some quick research on VWVortex shows that some VWs that threw this code had a series of bad SAI sensors that were fixed under warranty. Not sure if there's a TSB or extended emissions warranty on our cars?

From what I have read, it's cause by carbon build up. What grade fuel are you using? This is something a dealer or a good mechanic has to do.

Your Audi has a 8yr/80,000 mile warranty on the emissions. The map sensor measure pressure of the inside of the intake manifold, it's one of the main part of your fuel injection so if it was messed up it would throw other codes and you would probably have some running issues. There is a pressure sensor located on the air switching valve in the secondary air injection system which is either

    (A)not getting enough pressure (blockage/leak),
(B)shorted / open within the plug or inside the sensor
    (C) the diapham inside the sensor is stuck

    Do you have vagcom?

I bought the car 1.5 months ago with 75k miles (now has 76k miles), but I've only used 93 octane. One of the main reasons why I bought the car was the thoroughly detailed maintenance history on CarFax - one bullet point stated a carbon cleaning was done at 70k miles by an Audi dealership.

I should also note that the car has an APR reflash on (stage 1 only), though I doubt that would make a difference so quickly?

Interesting info on the 8yr/80k mile emissions warranty. I will call my local Audi dealership and ask.

I don't have a vagcom to further diagnose the problem. Do you have a part # for the secondary air sensor you're referring to? I think I found the part you meant (038-906-051-J) - it doesn't look very easily accesible? I hope you don't have to remove the blower to get to it...

038-906-051-j is the MAP sensor (manifold air pressure. The sai pressure sensor for the 3.0 is 06K-906-052. I would test for blockages/ leaks before replacing the sensor.

i cant remember if i had this code or not but it was something similar to it. all i did was take off the intake and cleaned the throttle body with break cleaner and clear the codes and i never got the code again. (knock on wood) try that first see if that works.
