    Strange Throttle issue

    Since last week I once in a while have during acceleration no power. As if the throttle is not working. I have no misfires and no codes (just checked with vagcom). Boost looks OK during hard acceleration in third gear => 21 psi.
    No sure if a fuel pump/filter issue could cause something like this. I doubt it because I assume it would throw codes and misfire.
    So basically what happens once in a while. I start accelerating and shift to second gear and suddenly no power for a brief second which is scary because once I engage the clutch and suddenly no power (the engine does not die just back to idle even if I floor it) the car decelerate and it scares the hell out of me. Especially when I am trying to cross a street.
    Any idea's?

    First thing that comes to mind is a brake pedal switch that is malfunctioning.

    I agree. If the brake pedal switch is not adjusted right, or is malfunctioning, then the ECU will think the brake pedal is pressed at the same time the accelerator pedal is being pressed, and the ECU will cut engine power.

    Not a fan of that lockout. First thing I did with my B6 is disable it. That does sound like the OP's issue...

    I agree that the throttle cut from extended braking is very annoying. But I totally understand Audi's position. 60 minutes almost killed all Audi sales in the US from their bogus unintended acelleration report back in the mid 80's. Absolute BS.

    60 minutes actually rigged the Audis they used to behave in a way that was consistent with the UA allegations fabricated. Then it was demonstrated that the brakes were able to overpower the engine in any situation. People having "Unintended Acceleration" events where mashing the accelerator down, not the brake pedal.
