    b7 s4 ZWN transmission replace a JMF?

I have a B7 2006 s4 4.2L with a 6mt JMF trans, the second gear pops out and grinds when its being put into gear (at high rpm) while letting go of the clutch, but sometimes its fine at low rpm, it shifts fine and drives normally. it only happens when its in second.
Im currently in contact with a guy that has a 2008 ZWN trans, my question is will I be able to swap it with out changing the original 2006 (jmf) axles, shift linkages and drive shafts?
Has anyone experienced this issue before and what can the issue be? synchros? the gear? kind of a noob with transmission
