Exhaust rattle at at central clamp

So I've noticed a rattle around 1400-1500 rpm at the central clamp between my OEM exhaust and the Magnaflow. There is lots of clearance in all directions and It seemed to develop about 5-6 weeks after the install. I went under there, and tightened it further and it went away for a few days, but it's back. I had my wife rev the car in neutral while I was underneath and the rattle is definitely from the clamps.

I am worried I would be overtightening the OEM clamps. They already look like they are bending.

    Any ideas?

I have this same issue now after installing my new downpipes last weekend. It's appears that those clamps are rubbing against the Heat shield between the exhaust and the drive shaft.

Is it a rattle or more of a vibration? I have AWE Touring and eventually developed a vibration (felt through the center console armrest) in that same RPM range. Try turning the clamp so the screw isn't pointing at the heat shield. When mine was heated up it would move enough for that screw to come in contact with the heat shield and vibrate the center console. Shop turned the clamp and it's been fine ever since.

It's a rattle in the clamp. There is clearance all around. If I push on the clamp a bit, the rattle stops. I just don't to keep tightening it and over do it.

I have the Magnaflow also. A couple weeks after install I had a rattle. Took it to two different shops, one claimed it was a blown resonator. Finally tacked it down to the center clamps like you are saying. I had them really torque the clamps and haven't had the issue since (it's been about a year).

I read on a previous thread that replacing the center clamps solved the issue for a different member. Maybe pick up a new set and try them?
