Maxton Design Front Splitter Group Buy- 20% off new lip offering

Maxton Design out of the UK just released their lip splitter for our cars, I am in no way affiliated with them or BFI. Black Forest Industries has offered up a group buy for this. I have been in search of a clean simple lip made out of something durable for a good price. $900 for other options just didn't interest me. From their site it is ABS plastic. This is for the S3, not sure if it fits S Line A3 i know that has been debated before.

I have a sport back like the black one above. On the black forest website only sedan is available. I'm in the US btw.

Should I have to contact BFI direct to see if they can supply the sport back lip?

Yea, I have no idea what they can get, I just wanted this lip when i saw it and hit them up about a group buy. This lip only fits the S3 bumper, does your sportback have that?

Yes I have an A3 s-line hatchback, same bumper as sport back S3

I like the lip a lot. Price is really good also. I'm tempted to get a gloss black one. So I'm guessing you have to drill the front bumper to attach Screws?

Did BFI say they can get it? Should be the same bumper and lip as the sedan I would think. Maybe I'm wrong.

I ordered the gloss black, it does look like drilling and bolts are involved from the pics, but it also looks like they send beta link with it. If you've ever used that stuff it's nearly permanent. I may try to see if I can mount it without drilling at first. If the holes will be small and not visible when taken off I may just install as deigned to make sure it's on there well.

I went with gloss since it will match my gloss black wheel centers and tint. It could also be painted body color since it is already smooth, and even better could be vinyl wrapped and not retain the texture. Just my reasons...

This is very tempting, I really like the price. For the guys who want to remove the Maxton logo, it is stated in the notes at the bottom of the BFI page that it is removable which is good to know.

20 is the minimum needed for the group buy 20% off. The more the merrier. just need to get at least 20 people by July 1st.

I'd assume better than a real carbon lip would. This is ABS plastic so probably polished up. I assume if you scraped it you could sand and re polish, at least that's what I would attempt if that happened.

This particular lip was released the day the group buy was announced, but the Mk7 guys and obviously other models of cars have had maxton lips for a while. I'd search around and see. My assumption and hope is that a scrape would be far less noticeable than a fiberglass or carbon lip, and would stay black. ABS is typically molded the same color all the way through.

I am on the fence on this. Price is reasonable for once with these things. However it appears to really stick out on the edges and looks funnny. Wish it would have more of a taper.
