    DIY - B8 A4 HPFP Cam Follower

EDIT: It seems as though we have the roller type cam follower in our EA888 motor so there should be no wear or tapping from this part at all. It seems this is a non-issue for us.

I am getting a pretty loud clicking noise from this general region and not sure if it is the HPFP, the Cam Follower, the purge valve or the intake flaps.

    I found this awesome writeup for a B7 A4: http://freepdfhosting.com/8791e81dac.pdf

The kit I was looking at to perform this job is: https://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B8_A4...ump/ES2766041/

I wanted to know if anyone has tackled this on the B8 specifically (MY 2010) and if so, are these instructions accurate?

I have replaced the cam follower on FSI (B7) engines a handful of times. Those instructions will not work as the FSI and TSI engine use a completely different HPFP design.

It shouldn't be too complicated though. Just be sure to have access to the proper torque specs for anything you remove.
