VR Tuned S7 Install and inside car pulls

Ok so I have been able to experiment a little bit with octane levels and tuning box settings. I am also experimenting with different mounting positions in the car so this is all a work in progress. I found that on 91 octane settings 3 and 4 are ideal for my car and 95 octane setting 4 and 5. I wanted to at least put something out so I was able to shoot some video last night and put this together this morning. I also tried to do launch control and push the lap timer start button at the same time but I did hit the button pretty early.

And tired from the drive to Mexico to accomplish all of this of course..

So went through the raw footage many times on the run I used launch control. I keep coming up with 3.86 0-60. Not sure what our car is suppose to do stock but that seems pretty fast. I thought I remember Audi advertising 3.9 a while ago for the S6.

Thanks! Not the most scientific. A tenth here and there, hard to tell with video. Would be interesting to run with the VR and then run it with the "stock" plug. See the delta.....

Hahaha, yes not to scientific at all but I said from the very beginning that I would do my best to gather info on this unit but at the end of the day Im just a swinging di** on a forum. I can tell though that it pulls harder than stock for sure. Good thinking I might actually put it back to stock and do a couple pulls.

I see you have the laptimer, so do you have VCDS/VAGCOM? If so, it will measure 0-60 and quarter for you.

@verybadman helped me with Vag-com. So I don't personally have the cable. So Vag will record times not the lap timer?

I need to VAGCOM my car. I want the extended HUD data that laptimer gives you. Any other suggestions DJ?

Correct. There is a screen for acceleration. You start the sequence, and when it detects the vehicle starting to move the timer starts. It uses the data from the OBD port, so it should be more accurate than hitting the lap timer button

I did lap timer, lowering 17 mms, seat belt chime, and then one touch hatch close from remote.

Fj peaks dis the tune that much of a gain ? I am going to probably keep my s7 And tune it I only have 22k miles but car has been solid And its 3 years old in August so if it gets flagged it's only a year I loose. But I want Apr but for 500 bucks this looks very enticing

It's more than double your "$500" figure. Just a fyi.

Yeah guys...I'd love to see some real 0-60 and 1/4 mile times. Thanks ya'll for doing this!

i'm not worried about flag with this. and honestly if i have issues, i might as well stress my engine a little more during warranty and if something pops up, remove it and get it serviced :)

Oh one more I forgot to mention. If you are going to get the Tag Motorsports color matched front reflectors, (Makes a huge difference in looks) Then disable the orange reflector light through VAG as well.

Nice! I can't wait to see some hard track and dyno numbers from someone. I'm definitely ready to pull the trigger but that price is insane. the only reason I haven't tuned is because of TD1

You swapped the boost sensor leads?' So now the waste gate is being controlled by the oposite turbos pressure? This sounds like a recipe for disaster. Have you checked with VR tuning to see what they say.

When you are looking at the engine their diagram showed the left boost sensor as sensor 1 and the right as sensor 2. There was no way the loom would stretch that far. So what I did was put their sensor #1 on the right and vice versa. I checked with Adam and he said it didn't matter since it's just reading boost pressure. I figured the loom was just labeled wrong because it stretched perfectly the way I put it on. But now you have me worried!!!!

I seem to remember car and Driver always getting amazing zero to 60 times that are very tough to replicate. I thought S7 was 4.3 seconds published by others but not sure.
