    Lower engine cover

I'm looking for lower engine cover, I need the one attached to bumper. My local dealer quoted me $400 for complete cover (it's 2 parts - one attached to the middle part and one attached to bumper). Anyone knows better place to look online?

Are you looking for a belly pan?

If so, forget the OEM plastic one and get the ECS street shield, its less expensive at $225 and there was one in the classifieds recently NIB. The rear pan was removed in the later years IIRC; my 2011 doesn't have one, but that could have been at the hands of the previous owner. If you want to stay OEM, then find a part-out; $242 for plastic is ludicrous IMO.

Just ignore me if I am talking about something else.

    Otherwise

Plus it comes with hardware, where the OEM one does not.

SO the stock belly pan has some rubber/foam cells on the top that act to reduce road noise (which I think is a pretty significant reduction, based on when mine became half un-attached).

The ECS aluminum skid plate has no such noise reduction. In my opinion, the aluminum will be better for bouncing off stuff (great for a lowered car), but would NOT offer nearly as much noise insulation as the stock piece. Does anyone have experience with this?

My belly pan is missing half of it's connections due to idiots performing oil changes and alignments and not installing correctly. I've learned now, and anytime I go to an independent shop for some work up there, I will insist on being present for the belly pan removal/reinstall. I've ordered some more hardware to keep it fixed.

To the OP: what happened to your stock belly pan? Like anything with Audi, it's not going to be cheap to replace (parts are about $250, install would be about $100 at a dealer, or do it yourself in your driveway).

My dealer stole my belly pan when performing a service and I didn't notice until a few months later, when it was too late. I've been running without one for at least a year. Is this a problem? I don't feel like spending $250 on a big piece of plastic.

My dealer also stole my engine cover and floormats, but I quickly noticed those and was able to retrieve them.

A very crappy one in the Dallas area. Needless to say, I went there twice and then found a competent indy.

The stock belly pan does not have any foam or rubber insulation; its just plastic. The noise reduction comes purely from the smooth surface the belly pan provides air to flow over while driving. Otherwise, all they do is protect the undercarriage.

I just found out that the holes on the bumper are gone (3 little hole tabs on the inner edge), so I have drill another holes on the bumper.
