    2014+ 2.0L K&N onto a 2010 2.0L?

I'm considering the K&N intake for my 2010 2.0L A4 Quattro. But I noticed the 2014+ K&N kit is $100 cheaper. From the pics and replacement part info, it looks like just the filter is smaller on the 2014+ model.

I wrote K&N about fitment, they state the heat shield is also different, but I noticed the 2014+ kit also fits A6 2014+...so it's not a exact fit to just a 2014+ A4.

It really just looks like 69-9505T for pre 2013 is CARB approved with a larger filter(with a Carbon end cap) and 69-9508T for 2014+ 2.0L just has a plain smaller filter and is not CARB approved..

Anyone ever try fitting 69-9508T to a pre 2013 2.0L?

Only reason I'm asking is because the 2014+ kit is priced reasonable, but for the pre 2013 I don't see worth the extra cost. Might as well pay a little extra and get a Volant.

I'm on the same boat as you. Looking at getting an air intake system. I've got an A5 2.0T though, bought the K&N panel replacement filter and silicone turbo inlet hose and you can hardly hear or feel the difference. The 69-9505T would fit my car, but the gap between the heat shield and the plastic or fresh air scoop is bigger on the A5 compared to the A4, probably about 40-50mm from looking the pictures online :(.

Don't bother it has an annoying squeal that will drive you nuts, On acceleration at certain rpm the intake squeals, unless you punch it harder. It sounds kind of like belt squeal

You will notice that most people ditch theirs as there are minimal gains on our cars with these intakes.
