    New oil at dealership

    I was talking to the dealership today about oil and i was told that for the C7 S6 the new Audi dealership oil is Mobil 1 10w-40. Has anyone else heard of this? When did the change from Castrol happen? I have not researched this yet since i just had the call but wasnt the Mobil 1 0w-40 the only VW approved oil? I have not seen an updated list recently.

    10w40 would be pretty heavy for us, unless I am mistaken. Haven't seen anybody run 10w40. I personally use Liqui Moly Liechtlauf 5w40.

    Maybe they did a new supplier deal in the US market?
