Color Opinions on repainting black avant

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hello,

Next month my 2008 B7 avant will be fully painted.

Did chose panther black crystal pearl color, but have my doubts. I live in a country where there is a lot of dust, dirt, etc.

Any ideas? The car must remain black... or close to it.

    damn, absolutely black?

If I had to repaint mine, for sure it would be this audi nagano blue classic color .
    Or s4 b8 blue sprint.
    so sexy and so rare

In black you have a limit, not much variance. Pearl, flake option pretty much. Imo the darkest black is the best, no grey zone

    blue sprint :

Or you have the OEM dark marine blue on B7 ( can't recall the color code name). I never saw this color on a avant in person, pretty rare aswell, and close to black.

If you're going to stick to black my favorite black color ever is "not black grey"...

( like the jhm stage 3 totaled wagon. )

fun fact : My uncle got the ocean blue, and he got a paper on his windshield asking if he can sell it. He call the guy , and the main purpose was because of this freaking rare color. At the end my uncle didn't sell it because of the too high mileage.

    A4 b7 got 2 type of blue.
S4 B7 got the 3rd type of blue.

    Quartz Greys

    Dakota Greys

Nardo, Mineral, and Nimbus greys from Bimmer and Audi

Its going be hard to stay black and not have dust show up right after wash. Maybe there is a repellent or some wax out there, but as far as I know black is one of the harder colors to keep shiny without constant washes.

    reason?

color gap because engine bay/door frame/chassis? They will do a cheap half base coat?

if you choose grey it will be worst than deep blue. If there's no sun, deep blue is almost black.

And black, I mean there's not a lot of choice... Go OEM, brilliant black. This is what I have and nothing exiting here.

Is full paint job, and the car is brilliant black now. But someone did polishing to it, and destroyed the paint. Long story....

I do not want to change color, because of the amount of paperwork i have to do.

Decided for Panther black crystal pears. Sorry for the crap photos, just took it from the shop. I refused to do any wet sanding, or any correction by the paint. Will do the corrections in a detailing shop.

Couldn't catch the green in the picture, but shines in the sun in all three colors.
