Help diagnosing clunking problem: Euro A6 2.0 TFSI FWD MANUAL 6 SPEED

Hi fellas, I have owned a A6 C6 since 2009 and have been happy with the car, love the car and have no plans to sell it.

The car has now been driven 120 800 km and with quite few problems. Since last week I have noticed a clunking noise when clutching at 1500 rpm in first gear. This only happens at low speed in first gear when pulling away and pressing clutch fast. For example at supermarket parking lots etc.

The noise is heard aprox 2 times and it like fades away a little in the second knock. It is one click/clunk and thats it, It never appears when pulling away in first gear, only when clutching to then put in 2nd gear. No vibrations or anything in Gearleaver or clutchpedal. And if I am not mistaking I can feel some "rubberband" effect when stepping on gas on highway, for example keep it in 3000rpm and flooring it, some slight "rubberband" pull.

I'm waiting for the weekend to inspect the front suspension, exhaust and rubber mounts. For some reason I do not think it is the actual clutch or tranny. Do you people have any guesses?

    Car is a A6, 6 speed Manual 2.0TFSI BPJ

I found two videos with exactly the same sound.

It could be a couple of things. Being that it is a manual transmission, not sure if the Audi unit uses a "throwout bearing" but I remember my old Honda Accord thumping when the Throwout bearing was going bad. Not feeling anything through the food pedal or gear shift would tend to rule that out.

You may be looking at a failed or failing motor mount. As you apply power, the motor will try and twist. If the mounts are bad, the motor can and will flop around; creating the thud you are hearing. This is where I would focus my investigation. Have a mate stand next to the car with the hood up. Keeping the parking brake engaged, put the car into gear and start letting the clutch out and then dpressing it again. If the motor is visbly moving around in the engine bay, then your mounts are shot.

Suspension pops are more associated with turning and/or suspension compression so not sure that is your issue.

Checked the front suspension yesterday, all the pars seem to be in order, nothing loose there. Engine doesnt barley move so no mounts seem to be the cause.
Whats even more weird is that my friends C7 2.0TDI 6speed manual sounds exactly the same. Im starting to think that this is another feautre from audi :D

One good thing is that I found new DMF and clutch kit for 480 EUROS new from UK.
In Sweden just the flywheel costs 90 Euros. Will probably change this if the "problem" gets more frequent.
