Hey everyone so I purchased a Certified pre owned 2010 Audi a4 2.0 Quattro sometime in 2011 and ever since I have had oil consumption issues. Audi has always fixed the issues no questions asked since I am under warranty. Last year around July I started seeing the error message again that the oil pressure was low and to shut the car off immediately once again they fixed it and I went on my way, now let’s fast forward to about 3 weeks ago. My car is no longer under warranty and I received the low oil pressure message AGAIN, so I called Audi and they had me bring my car in and since it had been less than a year since they last fixed the issue they said they would do it for free, I was told they needed to replace all the pistons and rods. So after getting my car back a few days later and driving it for about a week I got the low oil pressure\shut engine off error message yet again. This time I had the car towed to Audi and then the next day I get a call saying that it wasn’t something on their end it was just two parts went bad and that I’m no longer covered so I would have to come out of pocket $865 for parts and labor. The parts there saying I need are an Oil pressure switch and a Crankcase pressure regulator valve. So my question is one, is Audi trying to get over on me by making me pay for something that I shouldn’t have to? And two how hard of a job is it replacing these two parts if I was to purchase them myself? At this point I’m almost thinking of just trading it in and going with something 2016, your thoughts? Also sorry for the duplicate thread, I'm trying to get the other one that I posted in the incorrect forum deleted.
