Turbo Sound, headlights, tailights

Hi, I am new here and I just bought my first audi.
Its 2013 audi A4. Having fun with it but I should have got the s4.. but too late now.

Nways, I thought all turbos has whoosh sound.. how come mine is so quiet?
Is there any way I can make my turbo whoosh, whistle or whatever you call it..

Also anyone know where I can get LED headlights and tailights? mine are just stock and they look so boring.

There is something called a DV+ That can give u the Effect of the turbo blow off valve whoosh. Also adding a cold air intake will help amplify that.

As far as the headlights. There are a number of things you can do. For one find the clear corner reflectors to replace the Amber ones and DIY like some of us did, Or just buy the euro ones off ecstunning or online somewhere.

Is that something that easy to install for yourself or you need a mechanic to that for you?
I am zero mechanic.. but if that easy to install and theres a youtube video for it then I can follow...

If you hsve zero mechanical experience be prepared to open up your wallet.

Fyi those are the wrong style headlights for your year A4. Look in the classifieds for a set. And since you have zero experience i sugguest you only buy genuine audi parts.

If you wanted an S4 i suggust you sell your car and buy one. Will save u a lot of money in the end since you have no experience modding

The headlights won't work with the B8, you need B8.5 headlights. There are threads on this and I would use the search option before buying random crap.

DV+ will not change your turbo sound at all. That's not what it's for. You will probably not find anything that will give you the sound you are looking for (EVO/STI) either because generally our applications don't go that direction.

If you want to start modding, I would suggest a drop in air filter (AFE/K&N) and some vinyl for your interior inserts. If you want to get braver, and based on your mechanical skills, do some research and try installing a turbo gauge. Those 3 mods are great starting points and really can't screw anything up and are totally reversible. Having a stand-alone turbo gauge is also a necessity for future performance mods.

There are plenty of threads covering your questions. For the sound, look into an AFE air filter and turbo inlet hose or look into an intake setup. As for the lights, there are many people selling OEM for the B8.5, do some searching and you should find what you are looking for.

I'm surprised someone hasn't asked this yet, but how old are you? Sounds like you're a youngling. Also sounds like you bought a premium A4, since you have halogens. Trade it in for either a quattro, or an S4 imo. No sense dumping a lot of money into a FWD A4. The chances of you ever getting a woosh sound similar to an STI/EVO or any of those Japanese cars is pretty low. Our cars don't use blow off values, they use diverter values which reciruclate the air back into the engine instead of releasing it into the atmosphere.

I will lose alot of money if I trade it in to s4.
I just bought the car like few weeks ago...

Also I didn't mean to buy those ebay headlights or tailights and I know they not compatible since they only 2009-2012..
I put the link because I want to everyone to see what I want. It something like that but OEM..

And yeah I don't mind paying mechanic to do the works for me.
I just asked if it easy or not..

If you can be patient just sell the car yourself and list it to sell fast that way you wont loose so much on trade in.

Get the S4 under warranty if you can. That would be best option since you have little experience fixing things yourself

I don't disagree with your statement at all, BUT, you can get a Premium trim car with halogen headlights Quattro. My first Audi was exactly that. You could get FWD/CVT, AWD auto, or AWD manual.

Yes, I have a 2011 A4 2.0T Premium that is a Quattro and has the halogen headlights. I live in the northern Midwest (USA) so you can gloss over some options but AWD is not one that is overlooked here.

I put a K&N Typhoon intake in the car and the the turbo is much louder. You can hear the whistle as the turbo spools up and the diverter valve kick in when I shift. Might be worth looking into if you're after that. Personally I am starting to think it is too loud and I might go back to the stock air box.
