I had the H&R -1 springs installed on Monday. Measured around 32 1/4" from ground to top/center of wheel arch before the 1" drop. Once I got the SQ5 home from the short drive I got 30 5/8", so fromt he rough measurements I am seeing around a 1.5" drop on all 4 corners. Loving it so far, it took just enough of the 4x4 look off of the SQ5. Wheels will be here tomorrow, went with HRE FF01 in 20x9 ET25 and will be running Continental DWS06 tires in 275/40-R20 all the way round.

Here is the SQ5 after the drop and getting cleaned up, hoping to have the new wheels and tires on this Friday.

Hows the ride? Whats your feel on the difference over both smooth and harsh roads?

Just did the same with my `14 SQ5 and it transformed the ride. No compromise in ride quality, but reduced the body roll to nil. Corners like an S4 now.

As of yesterdays drive I put 150 miles on it. The ride feels almost the same, a little stiffer on the deep dips and bumps, body roll is less and the car feels more planted.

This has been discussed ad nauseum, but as someone who ran these springs with stock dampers for > 30k miles, you will see more bounce in the ride as those dampers degrade. The mis-match between length, compression, and rebound will beat you up, and will of course also shorten the life of the dampers.

Anyway, not to pee in any Wheaties. The machine looks awesome. FWIW, mine is in the shop as we speak, having -3 springs and Bilstein B8 shocks installed. I'm becoming more of a goofy little girl as each hour passes until I can go see and drive it.

Well until the stock dampers go out they will have to do, then I will look at a set of the Bilstein B8 shocks/struts.

Here is the SQ5 after picking up the HRE FF01 wheels in 20x9 ET25 and a set of Continental DWS06 in 275/40-R20. So far we are loving it the new ride, it is a lot more compliant now. Here are some pics:
