    Window Regulator Cable

Anyone ever just replaced the cable on the broken window regulator?

I tore mine down and it seem pretty straightforward, you ether need a new cable with existing ends, or just buy bulk cable and crimp new ends on.

It seems like so many scammers on cl and the internet selling regulators, I decided I'm just going to fix the one I have.

I got a regulator and motor from a junkyard for $28. Not worth it to try to fix it some other way.

Yeah, people around Seattle are all asking $50 for used 2004 regulators, local junkyard want's $75. Maybe I'll just take my chances with Uro.

$50 is dirt cheap for an OEM regulator. What do you think is actually a fair price?

My rear Viaco regulator was only $85 from ECS. The part looks very close to OEM and works perfectly.

You need to have it attached and square to the metal part of the window bc otherwise it will break again.

I went through 4 aftermarket units and had to get the entire assembly.

$50 is too much for a used part 15 years old, that I can buy new aftermarket for $20, or OEM for $100
