    Weird boost issue help.

Car is am 01 B5 A4, supposed gain tune, catback exhaust, cold air intake. Im currently having a weird boost issue. I will post the log that I took last night as soon as I can get back to my computer when it has internet. It all started the other day cruising down the highway. Stopped at the store and once I got back in the car it sounded like there was a huge boost leak. Just massive air rushing. Seemed like very low boost compared to what I had. Once I got home the next day I started to inspect. Found that the TIP was torn on both ends so replaced that. While I was in there I checked the other piping for cracks and such. Found nothing. Still had the problem so I figured maybe my forge dv was the culprit so switched back to stock. No help there either. I cannot figure this one out. I have not had time or the place to do a boost leak test but that will be soon. Wanted to see if I could get some kind of idea before I went ahead and did that. It feels like there is boost building, just not as much accompanied with a loud air using sound. The weird part is, it almost seems intermittent. Doesn't do it every single time, other times its seems to build more boost than others, but happens more times than not. Last night I did a few pulls and logged it to see what was going on. Looking at the logs the car was requesting 13-14 psi but the actual was around 4-5 psi. Then other times the car was requesting a lower psi than it was actually getting. So very strange as it seems to boost then other times not? Sometimes it requests boost and doesn't boost as much, but other times it requests boost and boost higher than it should? Somethings weird with this, anyone have any ideas? The car supposedly has a giac tune but I cannot get into it with the giac switcher so I'm beginning to doubt that. Thanks in advance for any help. Ill post the logs I took later as well.

You need to do a boost leak test to get a definite answer on that. Are you getting any codes? If so, what are they. I would check the vacuum lines going to the WG and DV. also check the one going to the N249 valve under the intake manifold. If your car is only making 4-5 psi it's prolly in limp mode. You would most likely get a check engine light for that, but idk, never had it. And get a boost grave in the car so you can see what's going on while your driving so you done kill your car.
