    Rear seat sides removal

Installing s4 rear seats into the back of my avant, I can't see how to get the side cushions off. I revived the small bolt at the bottom, don't see anything up high.
I've read that a4/s4 side cushions are the same but the leather does not really look the same
    Thanks

I thought that might be the bolt, the bolt/pin the seat back locks in to. Did a little more research and discovered the bolt I was afraid to remove might be the one bolt I need to remove. Gonna tackle it Wednesday night. Car is coming back together, pictures to follow soon. Winter long project coming to an end, finally.
    Haven't driven car since August 2nd, 2015

my car is a 2002 avant, the rear side cushions have airbags in them. The side cushions I have to install now are from an 04 or 05 s4 sedan and they do not have airbags.
Did sedans not get bags in rear seat side cushions?
Can I run the non bag side cushions without getting an airbag light?

I believe that rear side airbags was an option, and from the few times I've used the online configurator, it continues to be an option on the A4 and other models. Sounds like it was added to your car, but not the seat donor car.

I have these if you cut them in really great shape. If I recall there's a bolt and it just pops off.

I find they come off easy, problem is mine have airbags and the new s4 sides do not.
The match is not terrible, just have to wait while and find s4 side bags.

I have perfect s4 sides without bags if anyone is in need

Could you simply swap the material from the S4 units onto the existing units with airbags? I would assume the cut of material is pretty similar if not the same.
