Big Black Friend

Vince is about 6'6" and weighs over 330lbs. He's a gentle and cool dude with a great sense of humor. For Halloween, he wanted to dress like a slave with me as his white master (picture this, 6'1" normal white guy next to the Hulk). He played the part, calling me master and cringing in fear when I snapped the crop.

We got a lot of complaints and I'm still getting hate mail from a couple of people. So here's the question. If he was cool with it (it was his idea) why must others be so tight assed? Geez, my brother is African American and I am no racist (except for the Mormons and Scientologist - I hate those guys)......

I think you did nothing wrong, sure its a tough topic but it was his idea. Dave chapelle and Carlos Mencia in my opinion have helped ridicule racism and show people how stupid it is by having fun with it.

Well, I see no problem with it really but you have to realize that in public people see things and get offended. My friends and I are all multi-cultural and we jab jokes at each other constantly. we're cool with it but I called my philipino friend a chank in public once and some white guy near bit my head off about it....funny thing was my friend had just finished calling me a spic....

the whole black thing is a bit touchy though... your friend might be cool about it but I'm sure most people who don't know you would be pissed.

think about this...What if I dressed up as hitler and dragged around my Jew friend and tatood some numbers on his forearm? Oh man, people would be pissed. he'd be cool with it because we know it's in jest but people in public would be so pissed.

a few of us almost got expelled from HS b/c one of our real good friends was black, one day we were all just goofing off and we were walking through the most congested section of hallways and he screams at the top of his lungs "why the F!!! did you just call me a N(wrd)" we stopped everyone in the hallway and we got pulled into the principals office b/c they thought we really were racist but let us go when they found out it was a joke...we did get detention but it was worht it...

to answer your questions: I don't think you were in thr wrong at all if your friend wanted to have some fun...I mean all he was doing was poking some fun at racists and bigots..and slave owners..don't sweat it man

overly religious people are ignorant people that try to sell their religion to everyone and look down on anyone that doesn't share the exact same beliefs. Didn't you see the commercial, or show, for trading spouses with the psyco religous bitch.

I personally believe in god, but i don't believe in religion at all, because all the religious books are just stories passed on from different generations. You can be a certain religion and go to different churches and you'll see alot of different beliefs even though it's claimed to be the same religion. Everyone relies on what the (pastor) speaker tells them and they usually go by that.
