    Prefacelift Rear Deck Cover Removal

One of my rear deck speakers either blew or the dust cone came unglued and I want to take the rear deck cover off to check it out. Looking at the DIY videos online everyone is popping of the clips that hold the child seat tie downs to expose bolts that need to be removed then the deck cover just unclips in the front. My car does not have the child seat tie downs (guess this a pre facelift thing). Does anyone have any advice on removing the rear deck cover if there are no child seat tie down points? Wondering if Audi hid bolts somewhere else or if just unclips in the front and pulls out? Any advice would be great.

It may not have the child seat tie downs but there should be bolts under covers where the tie downs should be. Take those out and the deck should slide towards the front of the car and then pull up. Might be hard cause there's glue holding the deck down as well. Just make sure you pull up and out as you don't want to break the clips as i did.

Mine had a set of clips running along where the deck meets the rear seats, I had to pull up to separate the 2. IIRC I didn't remove any bolts, just be careful pulling up and you will see pretty soon if there are bolts or not
