    Engine swap help?

I have a AWP/AEB block from my mk4 jetta. Would like to know if I can bolt it right up inside a B6 a4 or possibly a B5. I know I need a different oil pan and intake/exhaust manifold thats the easy part. The motor has nothing on it for accessories. Just a built block and head. Also, I have a guy custom building me a manifold and we are both unsure of a audi engine bay but is it the same as a passat since they both are longitude? Any help would be appreciated! Doing that vw > audi swap! Leaving the FWD world for AWD! Thanks!

The 1.8T longitudinal setup in the Passat is the same as the A4. Transverse 1.8Ts can be adapted for longitudinal install.

So if he has a passat at the shop he can fab up a exhaust manifold and match it to that and it will fit a b6 A4 with no issues? Still deciding b5 vs b6 :) THANKS!

These two blocks are very different. AEB is 058 block, which never came in transverse applications. The AWP is an 06a. The longblock is the same, save for the oil pan, but none of the accessories are.

uhhh. I know, I said i have a built block. Awp block with AEB head. Not sure if you know what I was asking or something but I wanted to make sure if my question was correct so I can put this motor in a b5/b6 and if I fab up a manifold on a passat would it fit in a audi.
