I've been looking around for an avant type car. I've got my first baby boy and I'm curious how much room is in the front seat when a rear facing childseat is installed. Have you found the C-5 platform to be adequate for your family? I really like how Attainable the S6 is nowadays...
I've tried searching for pictures/data and such. If you have a good link let me know

How tall are you? 5' 9" here and I drive with a normal type of upright position (not stiff female prius driver upright, just normal) rear facing seat fits 100% comfortably with plenty of room to spare. We've had 3 seats across in the back many times and it works just fine. We have two, 2 and 3 years old and now that they're forward facing there's just mountains of room back there, my 3 year old's feet can reach my seat back though.

I could borrow a rear facing seat for a picture if you like.

Yip I'm 6'3 and can comfortably have the rear facing capsule behind my seat... My S6 (not sure if all have it or not) also has the Isofix mounting system which is freakin awesome! The only thing missing is factory mounts for a tether strap which here in NZ is law...

Hey thanks, so much personality already. I'd love a picture. I'm 5'11" and my wife leans like a G if she drives. Our A3 could get us by... Yet this may be a great excuse to get another Audi. There's not much room to spare in the A3.

I suppose I should mention the car seat is a full size britax.

Is it called a duel fix? If so its the one we have and I personally couldn't get comfortable but I'm 6'3 and have seriously long legs, so I put it on the passenger side. It's fine like that I can comfortably sit in the front if I'm not driving. Mine is a manual I think hats the problem, when it's in my wife's auto one I can drive with the car seat behind me no issues.

I'm 6'2" btw and the passenger seat only has to go forward slightly from full back position.

Sorry for delay had to do it before work this morning.
As the seats are set there is 25.5" from the front footwell to the front of the seat and 31.5" from top of back seat to the top of the front seat. We have to leave a bit of a gap so we can spin the seat for access.
