I'm not sure if it coincidental but after installing my new wheels today my front end is locked up. The brakes are not engaged and spin a little before it locks. rear end is fine. I cant move the car in drive or reverse. Any ideas on what might be going on? The car drove fine yesterday

    thanks in advance

Sounds like the back of the face of your wheel is hitting on the caliper.

    Wrong offset wheels?

Your lugbolts are too long? and running through the wheel, through the rotor/hub and hitting the outside of the bearing/ carrier.

start, put car in N, brake off, start loosening up the lugbolts and see when it frees up.

    ^Pretty sure this.

If you "new wheels" came with special conical seat lug bolts (or something), they are probably a bit too long. So you can install spacers (moar stance, bro!) or, if they are just slightly too long (likely) you can grind off the last thread on a bench grinder. Clean up the threads with a thread file and you'll be all set.

They are right. My dumb ass made the same mistake. My a6 came with some shanty 19 inch peoboys rims, I threw on some avus 17's and ended up having to buy 20 m14 x 1.5 lug bolts

I was like what do I do wrong. Initially i thought it was a jammed parking brake. Face palm.
