RS Style Grille Question AND New S4 Owner Pics!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hello AudiZine! I just picked up my new (used) 2015 S4 this weekend, and it looks fantastic. I'm interested in swapping the grille out for an RS-Style black grille. I know a few people sell them, but I wanted to know if anyone here personally has one. If so, could you tell me how the fit is? Recommendations on where to purchase? Thanks!

    RS Style Grille

I'd also like to hear which are "better", I have been looking a bit... Lots of posts about how the ECS ones are a pita to get the badges on/fitment like emblems stick out to far etc.

Congrats on the pick up!!! Pics?

I don't believe there is a consolidated thread on the topic, but I have seen several posts that talk about options with user reviews.

As an alternative, you could consider the Black Optics grille; you can usually grab one used on this site.

Also, there is an option (eBay) to purchase a complete bumper kit that replicates more of the RS4 look. There was a guy on here that recently did this mod and it looked really nice. The cost wasn't too bad (like $900 for the bumper unpainted) and the other advantage I saw was that it provides a more aggressive front lip, which, if you have search around, cost $700-1000+ for a carbon fiber lip.

Congrats and welcome to the forum.

There are a couple different versions of the RS4 replica grille - one comes with the rings separate, which you attach to the grille, and another comes with the rings built into the grille, which is easy to spot by the smaller honeycomb between the rings. I have one of the latter, which I bought from Amazon and that's what I'd recommend. This is the link to what I purchased, and I know at least one other person here has this grille since I got that link from another AZ thread.

Yes and yes. Had to cut the top mid clips on the rings to get them into the ECS grille and the holder itself sticks out stupid far. Nice looking grille and good fit otherwise...

I notice it is post-facelift but it states 2012-2014. Did anything change in 2015 M.Y.? You think it should still fit?

    It'll fit. Mine's a 2016. Post facelift is anything 2013-2016.

    @pwhaakej
If and when you have time, could you get a side profile of your grille please. I'd love to see how far the rings stick out. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

You already have the BO grille on the car so I would leave it alone.

Grab a Deval frontlip and rock it like that.

If not, I grab the nicest RS4 grill you can find.

Install it then sell your old BO grille on here and likely make some money on it.

That's my plan...have BO grill but am installing RS grill soon. Can probably sell the BO grill for more than what the RS grill cost.

Be on the lookout, I'll be posting a BO grill for sale in the next couple weeks
