    What now? Electrical Issue

New battery, started fine 2 weeks ago. Been on the trickle charger in the garage since. Reads 12.6V when unplugged.
Voltage gauge is flickering on and off, and the car wont turn over at all.

I turn the key in the ignition at about 4 seconds into the below video.

Are all of your grounds tight? The chaise ground from the engine to the passenger frame rail can cause no start issues. Also the ground strap to the battery can cause no start. Your voltage gauge needle light could be failing since it's the only one that is acting up. They use the same voltage supply so of that was the problem they would all flicker.

Should still start with 12.6. As corrado has stated, check your ground on the passenger side up under the lower inter cooler hose. Your alternator also connect to this point as well as the ground to your battery. If it visibly looks ok do not trust it. It can corrode between mating surfaces.

    Quick health check:

Put voltmeter on battery. Note voltage. Keep positive lead on positive and take ground and put it on engine block. Note voltage. It will probably have a drop in voltage and that is indicative of bad ground.

    Battery+ to Battery- = 12.6V
    Battery+ to engine block = 12.6V

Ok. Starter sounds bad or the starter solenoid.

There is a single click in the engine bay when I turn the key.
Haven't had time to look into the starter relay under the dash or the starter itself.

do the headlights & highbeams come on at full brightness? Essentially, how does the car react when placed under high electrical load separate from the starter's draw

I finally had a chance to dig into this issue, and removed the alternator and starter.
Got them both checked. Both passed.
I noticed when removing the starter that there was a loose bolt, but was already so far into the disassembly I went ahead with removal.
Reassembled everything as it was, snugged down all bolts and connectors.
Car started right up and kept running fine.

Weird that it just got loose enough from sitting in the garage...

Not really. Same reason any bolt loosens. Vibrations and temperature.
