2016 Q3 2.0T Oil change

Purchased almost 1 year ago and already had my 1st service at 5k and I'm approaching 10k and just looking for some input on oil and if you guys are doing the 10k oil change intervals like Audi recommends. I'm currently using Amsoil 5w40 in my b6 1.8t but not sure I want to use that in my wife's Q3. I'd like to go 100% synthetic but there's so many options. Any advise would be appreciated.

I do mine every 5-7k. Just gives me piece of mind. Just use what is recommended.

Change oil and filter every 5000 miles max, use only VW approved oils, like Mobil-1 0W-40. All the VW approved oils are synthetic. Also, change your auto trans fluid and filter every 30,000 miles (Audi claims it is "lifetime"......yea right)
