Coil pack harness replaced - won't start - how is spark plug pulse signal controlled?

    Hi all,

So my coil pack harness needed replaced, and I went with the 034 Motorsports version seen here: 034 Motorsports 1.8t Coil Pack Replacement

I replaced the coil pack harness, but can not get the 1.8t to start. It cranks freely, and I've tested for spark at each plug (pulled plugs and watched spark as vehicle is cranked).

So my question is, what determines firing / pulse at each spark plug? If I somehow crossed the injector pulse / signal wire on a couple of coils, does it matter? Or does the crank sensor determine both spark plug firing and injector pulse? I realize firing order is 1-3-4-2.

This car has been sitting for months as it's been a point of frustration. TIA for the help!

The impulse signal wires are specific to a cylinder. If you do not have them installed correctly the car will not start. Refer to figure #1 in the installation instructions: Clicky click®

Thanks for the super quick help Old Guy!!!

For some reason I dismissed the harness chart early when I thought my vehicle specific signal wires were more "light green" then "grey" per the chart and never referenced it again - DOH!!

I just went out and re-worked the 4 signal wires and she fired right up! As usual, you're the man OG!! If you're ever in Colorado drinks on me!
