    Modding affliction unabated, what next?

What began three plus years ago as a simple tune for my allroad eventually (predictable?) turned into far more than originally planned with no end in sight. Next on tap is the impending installation of RS4 avant replica rear spoiler (big thanks to kdaffy for organizing the group buy) and front grill paint and replacement.

After that I'm debating what to do. I've been considering one of these two:

Carbon fiber side mirror caps (http://europrice.us/mirrors-neidfakt...fiber-housings). I can't decide if I'll like the look.

    Or

    Blind spot mirrors (http://europrice.us/mirror-glass-aspherical-blind-spot)

    Curious what people's opinions are.

I'm a fan of the carbon mirror look, especially on your color. But there is no way I'll pay that much for them. If it was me I'd be looking for something way cheaper. I think ECS was selling some. I'm sure the quality is slightly less, but I could deal with it.

The cost is the main reason I haven't gone forward with the mirror caps. I'll check out ECS.

Like you I can see them looking good on a light colored car.

Has anyone installed the blind spot mirrors (link in original post)? I don't really need these given how I have my side view mirrors adjusted. FWIW, most people adjust the side view such that they can see the side of their car when looking in the mirrors. Doing so creates/maximizes the size of the blind spot. I read an article years ago that recommends adjusting side mirrors so that they pick up where the center rear view leaves off. The only time this isn't ideal is when the center rear view is blocked for some reason. Then I need the side views to see behind me also.

This Car and Driver link describes what I'm talking about better: http://www.caranddriver.com/features...id-blind-spots

That said, I like the idea of the wider view provided by the mirrors....

    Right you are: https://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-All_R...ors/ES2804801/

Although these are without side assist lighting... I'd think they'd be the same price.

ECS doesn't have the side assist caps available for some reason. I'll ping them....

I had the blind spot mirrors on my old 2000 S4 and they took a little while to get accustomed to them, but once I did, I loved them. Seeing that this is available, I will be purchasing for my A4.

On another note, I purchased my youngest daughter her "going off to college car", a 2016 Honda Civic EX last month and it has this on the driver's side mirror. She didn't understand it at first, but she's got the hang of it now...it doesn't have the passenger side one because it actually has a camera on the p/s mirror that comes on with the blinker...pretty trick!
    Thanks,\
    Ed
