Meyle Lower control arms..like them? Hate them? Or indifferent?

I would like to get the Meyle HD's but have heard mixed reviews on them for the A5, but not the S5 (which doesn't really make sense because I believe it's the same part, correct me if I'm wrong). Ive heard that the quality does not match up to MOOG or Lemforder. I am literally in the process of buying them from FCP and I have the Lemforder 8K0407152D Lemforder 8K0407151D Moog 8K0407694N Moog 8K0407693N in the basket....its roughly the same price as the Meyle HD complete kit... Id prefer to keep it all the same brand, but am worried about the quality....any input? Thanks in advance!

I also checked my manufacture date on my car and it says 10/08 so I would need the 8K0407694N 8K0407693N ...thanks for the tip guys!!!

Wish I could...Really would like to replace them now...im shocked that there is no reputable company that makes lower control arms for a lowered A5....any thoughts on the Lemforder 8K0407152D Lemforder 8K0407151D Moog 8K0407694N Moog 8K0407693N parts instead of the Meyle?

I would get Lemforder. Right now I have MeyleHD lower straight arms and OEM curved. I was getting horrible steering wheel shimmy with the MeyleHD ones, but nothing for the OEM. MeyleHD uses a full rubber bushing for the curved arms, rather than gel/liquid filled hydro bushings in the OEM arms, which reduce vibrations even more. Also, it seems that S5 owners who have made the switch to MeyleHD experience none of my issues, but I have an A5 and the part numbers are different depending on which year car you have. I've never heard of Moog, can't comment on those. I'd say MeyleHD is ok, but if you're able to get Lemforder at around the same price I would go with that.

Just to chime in: the s5 also has two different sets of arms depending on when the car was built; that said, the difference between one set of arms and the other is not the bushings, but the size of the bolt that attaches the curved lower arm to the subframe of the car. The fact that the Meyle's come with solid bushings instead of hydraulic bushings is actually a good thing. These are unlikely to fail in 40-50k miles again, lasting much longer. Worse case scenario, if they do fail, these arms are about half the price of the ones with the hydraulic bushings. Lastly, even though Meyle did not provide/build the OEM arms for these specific cars, they are a reputable company that builds plenty of suspension parts for multiple manufacturers. I'm very happy with the lower curved Meyle arms on my S5.
