    Too many miles, CPO S4

I recently found a used S4 6MT for with ~53,000 miles. It has the CPO, does anyone believe that it's a risky purchase to go with so many miles?

I'd have no concerns. That's not much assuming it's been properly cared for.

These cars have shown to be quite reliable overall, and also don't require much from a scheduled maintenance perspective. Shouldn't have to do much more than spark plugs, filters, fluids, and brakes for a while. Figure a suspension refresh around 100k.

The clutch will be your biggest expense when due.

What year? I'd be more concerned if it were pre-facelift. Seems those cars were more prone to carbon buildup in the intake. Just a thought.

If the price is good and the car checks out then I would not be concerned. As Hayden posted, these cars have proven to be quite reliable!!

No worries about that.. At 53,000 it is just getting warmed up. I had 208,000 on my B6, was cpo'd at 51,000. Well loved audi's will easily go far above 100,000...

I wouldnt worry at all. Im buying a 2013 cpo with 50k this week(if the title shows up). Just make sure its not private party sale because cpo does not transfer. It is only cpo if a dealership certifies it and sells it. A lot of people make that mistake

53k is nothing. 6mt cars are pretty solid.

It's a 2013. Thanks everyone for your advice, it looks like the service record is solid

Unfortunately it seems overnight the listing vanished from the dealership site..

that sucks. 6mt are hard to find and go quick....got to jump on it when you can. i was lucky enough to catch mine before the sales dept put it on the lot. It had just gone through the shop for certification and i test drove it and immediately called then and said i wanted it.

It's sad because I found it while searching last night on dealer sites, and this morning the listing was removed. Never even had a chance

That statement is incorrect. Private party sale can and will transfer the CPO for a $150 fee as long as the seller originally bought the car as a CPO vehicle through a dealer.

I just bought my 2012 private party and transferred the CPO to my name through Audi of America.

So being that I did not buy it CPO from a dealer, I am not allowed to transfer the warranty to another person if I sold it. It ends with me.

Edit: Just to clarify further, if I were to trade it in to a dealership, they are allowed to pay Audi to CPO it again. But that costs them a couple thousand dollars.

53k miles are you serious ? Why would you be concerned with German engineering plus its CPO. i just bought mine with 107k and haven't thought twice.

dude that's nothing. I bought my car at 65,000 miles and now have 135,000 miles! and the only failure was the thermostat. 0 problems , daily driven.

I test drove one with 165,000 miles. was fine too even with a automatic.

Bought my 2011 2 yrs ago with 49K miles and an extended warranty. 25 months later, now with 65k, I have not needed to use the warranty.

    6 M/T here with 173K on it now ;)
Running very strong, just drinking about a quart of oil every 500-700 miles! Not too big of a deal though
