Front brake change and rotor vane direction quesition

    Hi guys,

So today I did front brake rotor and pads swap with my buddy Oleg for coming track day. Bought ECS slotted rotors and carbotech xp10 pads. When we removed OEM pads(Have 15000 miles and 6 track days on it), they all got overheated with big crack and inside pads worn out 1/4 more than outside! Also another discovery is Audi is pretty cheap by putting one piston caliper for heavy S5!

Anyway so when we were putting the rotor, we found the vanes are directional but pointed different direction. We end up have left(driver) side rotor vane point against rotating direction and right(passenger) side point toward rotating direction. Found online that you should be careful with direction vane rotor since wrong direction is very bad for heat dissipation and dust. So is it ok for me to do like this? I am gonna ask ECS too regarding their rotors but have any of you had experience with ECS slotted rotors? Track day is coming and definitely don't wanna overheat one side of rotors. Also what is correct direction of rotor vane you think?

    Thank you all in advance!

Pic for left front side rotor in the reply
