Thanks for posting! That tachometer looks great.

I timed the 0-200kmh at ~18 seconds. I was able to find some videos of B8 S4 avants doing the same run, and the B9 doesn't appear to be any quicker. 100-200 doesn't look quicker, either.

That could be attributed to varying conditions in the different videos (hell, this could have been done on an incline for all I know), but strictly judging on this video it wouldn't appear as though Audi has added much, if any, power. I am not expecting any significant power bump as the S4 already hits above it's weight for the claimed power figure, but it would be nice to see it be a bit quicker.

Yes, it's hardly a scientific test... temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, road condition and incline, and driver technique all come into play (I'm sure there are other variables I'm missing). Also the youtube time bar doesn't go any better than solid 1 sec units. But I did notice that 0-100kph (0-62mph) went from the 0:20 mark to the 0:24 mark, which appears to be right on or slightly better than the conservative Audi quote of 4.7s (4.9 for avant). Once again, no accounting for all the above variables, and would love some true time trials on this thing. It would be nice if they displayed both the speed gauge and the tacho, since at the 0:24 mark the speed jumps from 88 to 97 to 103, all in the same second mark.

BL: drawing any conclusions at this time is still a bit pointless.

All the same, thanks for posting! I'm hungry for any info we can get, however it may come.

I hope I can add that tachometer with VCDS in time. Just love it! And that boost pressure gauge in the lover right corner, want that too =)

I counted 6 seconds from 18 when you hear the engine come to life to 24. Maybe 18.5 if you want to split hairs.

The s3 from the same tester was a bit faster in the 0-210 run.

This just reinforces the point... you are trying to say 5.5 to 6 secs to reach 100kph? Or worse, that the car doesnt move for 1.5 to 2 secs after the engine spools? None of that makes sense or jives with driver reviews. Lol, all the more reason to toss this video aside if we can't even determine if he's hitting Audi's conservative number.

It's not the revs....you start counting when the car actually moves. maybe the brake was on for a bit before it moved. It was nineteen, or maybe 19.5 before the car actually moved.

    I clocked b9 0-200 Kmh in roughly 16.8 sec while B8 needs 19 sec. over 2 sec , it's a lot.

He was left foot braking.. to build boost. Hence why the tach raised prior to launching.
