Hey guys,
Does anyone know what the temperature threshold for our brakes are, specifically the B5 S4 rears? I am about to have a new set powder coated and while I intend to remove the dust boots and main piston seal but I am trying to avoid complete disassembly because the parking brake mechanism looks a little like a pita to take apart and get back together. I know there is one small o ring inside the mechanism, I am wondering if this would hold up to the heat of powder coating. Brakes tend to get pretty hot so I am wondering if I will seriously damage this o ring if I don't completely disassemble.
