I have the compressor just never replaced it. It looks like a tough job to do on my own. If anyone has done there own just wondering how hard is it really and do i need any special tools? I have torx bits all of that stuff. Also going to change the starter while I have it apart also. Will the starter be accessible with the front clip off?

The only special tool you need for both jobs is an engine support bar like this: http://www.harborfreight.com/1000-lb...bar-96524.html. You could probably use a jack underneath the engine instead, but that might interfere with your working room. To do the starter you have to remove the passenger side motor mount, and to do the a/c compressor you'll have to remove the driver side motor mount. I don't remember if you have to put it in service position for the starter but if you do then that's the only work that would overlap and I don't think it's necessary for the starter iirc, so there's not really any benefit to doing them at the same time. There is a good DIY online for the starter that you can find if you search.

How do you put it in service position?
