Aftermarket Seats

Hey everyone, just want to clarify/confirm some of my research regarding install of aftermarket seats.

- I don't need a pressure sensor or any other special sensor mods for the drivers side? Passenger side requires a occupancy sensor (or short circuit), but drivers side doesn't seem to require one. Is that because it's assumed you are always going to have a driver and the airbag is activated once you put the seat belt on?

Is there anything else I need to know from an electrical point of view? Just want to make sure that the airbags will still work...

correct , just the passanger side has the pods system. there are however airbags in the stock seats which will cause an airbag light if removed. you may be able to code these out but not sure.

Anyone got any thoughts how to code out the seat airbags?

I presume there must be a way since the Euro RS4s come with optional bucket seats that don't have the side airbags.

I just had this done on the recaro sportsters and its done with resistors. Don't know what size though, if i find the info ill let you know.

You wont be able to code it out, gotta use resistors. I need to do it on my car to get rid of airbag light. I think ive read somewhere that resistors need to be 4,7 ohm but not sure.
