Tri-State meets Mid-Atlantic Avant Meet Thread

Alright, so the idea was tossed around my myself and Slow4 that we should have a meet with the avants in the Tri-State area and the Mid-Atlantic area. This thread will serve as the idea thread and master thread if we get this off the ground.

Date: August 14
Location: Hershey, PA
What to do: Meet at Hershey Park, do a factory tour maybe enjoy the park, and then cruise to Philly to grab a bite.

Depending on schedule, me and my stock AR are in!

Also, I vote for Philly! I can see if I can get into contact with an old OG AZ buddy of mine (RCFitz) to see if he can help us food-wise at one of the Stephen Starr restaurants.

EDiT:

I take back my vote for Philly and suggest an Atlantic City "Prohibition"-theme Run. We all run prop-like alcoholic cases into AC; the person/group with the fewest amount of stops/tickets wins.

hershey: rt 322 - 23 - 76 : downtown philly

~95+ miles through the country side, some forest scenery and mostly two lane roads. i'll look for some scenic "overlook" stuff but unless we drive through Amish County, i can't find anything.

if anyone has any suggestions or tweaks to map, feel free to put them up for a more "exciting" run

You're familiar with the area; any good "cruise-worthy" roads you know of?

322 seems like a boring stretch of non-highway/interstate road but it's a direct approach from Hershey to Philly.

Oh which reminds me, @dirtd1ver - do we have a time frame for when we're looking to depart and arrive in Philly?

If we arrive in Philly before dinner I can reach out for a friend and see what he can do for dinner arrangements unless there's something else planned.

If I'm around I'd participate. The route needs some spicing up but truth is there are not too many great roads for spirited cruising in the area.

If we want to cruise country roads and aren't worried too much about how long it takes from Hershey to Philly, I'm sure we can cone up with a good route.

What about plans for a tri-state meet? This one seems more mid Atlantic.. Could do a Bear Mt run, something else within an hour or so on NYC. May slater in August. I'm busy the weekend of the 14th, otherwise I'd make the trip to Hershey.

I was trying to find a spot in the middle, for the southern VA folks, but this does seem a bit far for the NYC folks, but no one chimed in. Something in the Middle of PA would be better, but there isn't really anything there.
