have a few issues going on. I know how to fix most of these but the one that I don't know why its happening or what to do is the hazards keep acting like they are going off (all blinkers blinking) after I've locked it and walked away, i park where I can see it from my apartment so about 30 minutes later I go out to look at it and its happening, walk down unlock it the hazards stop check to make sure they are off in the car and they are. so I go back upstairs kinda watch it for a few minutes, go clean some shit about 30 minutes later go look out again and its happening. anyone have an idea of what it could be?

Maybe throughout those 30 minutes your alarm goes off. After about 30 seconds it stops beeping but the hazards keep blinking. Happens to my car all the time (b5 a4 but same shit lol).
I think b5's just have extremely sensitive alarms, because mine will go off if the wind is blowing hard. Also if you left your windows open after you parked and you have an air freshener in there the motion sensor will set the alarm off

It is your alarm, just lock the car from the button on the inside of the drivers door and it won't arm!

I'm pretty sure the sensitivity can be adjusted on the alarm. I forget how but when I had my B5 A4 I did it.

Press the button on your drivers side B pillar. It's your interior motion sensor. They're indoor cars

What I would do is scan the alarm module with Vag-com/VCDS and see what is triggering the alarm. For example, my car was missing the hood latch sensor which would cause the alarm to go off since for all intents and purposes, the car thought the hood was open after the alarm was armed.

With that button, your just turning off the 'motion sensors' inside the vehicle. For example, if anyone smashes the window and enters it the thing goes off. By turning it off only shuts out the motion sensor, not the alarm itself.

I don't know how wind would set off a PIR. I know the sun will.

There are small microphones in the upper B Pillar, near the headliner.
