A8 d2 engine swap

Hello. i have a audi A8 1997 2.8 that i would like some more power in, and i'm looking to swap the enigine for a ABZ v8.
Is this doable without too much modifications to the frame and electronics?

Different loom, ECU, Gearbox, radiator...
2.8 may not be Quattro, 5HP24A for A8 is Quattro gearbox only (other applications such as BMW and Jag are RWD and not suitable as Audi requires transaxle). 5HP19 behind 2.8 may fit V8 but wont be properly rated to it. Quattro changes include Torsen center Diff, rear diff plus mounts and cradle, prop shaft and centre bearing mount.

Not worth it IMHO unless you like a challenge! Buy a wreck for all the parts or you'll be spending $$$.
Better fiscal option is to shop for a V8 model in good condition and flog your 2.8 off!


Or... buy a PES G2 supercharger!
