Anyone with the SQ5 rock a dip stick?

I got my first service for free (local dealer is so bad I actually regretted not doing it myself even though it was free through them - they damaged a bunch of other stuff in the process too. pathetic)

but now that i'm rolling around 10k miles I want to do another oil change. I see this dipstick (PN: 06E115611H) but everywhere the fitment doesn't include the SQ5. I know there's only like a 1% chance it doesn't fit the SQ since the 3.0T Q5 is listed as fitting, but can anyone confirm they have a dipstick on their SQ?

I got it!!! 3.0 fits great... ECS is where I got it

I have one and it is nice to be able to check. Only bad about servicing the Audi yourself is unless you have Vag-com or Carista you cant reset the service reminder light. Only other option is to take it to the dealer which they will charge to do it.

I was able reset the "Next Oil Change" in MMI, but the next inspection remained the same, can't touch that one it seems.

Do you really need a dipstick? Doesn't the MMI do an oil-level reading? I'm going to be doing my SQ5's first oil change and have been going back and forth about getting one?

Yes you need one, the MMI has been known to be wrong or give out false warning since it relies on a sensor to tell it if the oil is in the proper range. The dipstick is a end all be all to making sure you have oil. Sadly I cant seem to grasp why the Germans over engineer everything, why couldn't they just use the ole dipstick like most other car manufactures use.

Do folks who purchase the dipstick usually just leave it in there or put the plug back in after checking the oil. Just wondering if the dipstick is designed to stay in there permanently.

Thanks for the feedback. I wasn't sure since the dipstick on the ECS Tuning site has a plastic low/high indicator. Does anyone know if there is an all metal dipstick out there for the 3.0T?

Don't worry about it. Dipsticks have had plastic on them at the tip for a long time. IIRC my 1991 benz 560sel has one...or it may be the 95 E320.

Got mine at ECS too.
