Would a bad boost sensor cause issues with drivability? I will attach the code I received.. Check engine light goes on and off every week or so but car doesn't drive any differently when light comes on

yes, you'll eventually get misfire for all cylinders on that bank, and then fueling and spark on that bank will shut off. What you could do is swap boost sensors on each side to confirm and see if the code moves (IIRC the code on the other side will either be P0236 or P0234) if its truly the boost sensor.

It does not drive differently because the computer uses the signal from the boost sensor of the other cylinder bank, which is pretty much the same signal.....I am not even sure why each bank has its own boost sensor....I can't imagine the boost pressure or temperature is any different from one bank versus the other....

Each sensor is actually a boost air pressure sensor and an air temperature sensor.
