This DIY is to help you remove the starter from your car if it went bad. I'm not responsible for any damages.

Step 1: jack up car or put it on ramps.safety first and jack stands

Step 2: Remove belly pan. If you can't do this part hire a mechanic.

Step 3:The starter is located in the passenger side under the motor in front of the motor mount. Located first. Now you will remove the 8mm Allen bolt that is in front of the starter

Step 4: Remove the bracket in the Solenoid I think it was 13 mm.. not sure about which socket.

Step 5: location- With the CVT transmission the bolt is super hidden you can't see it from the top but you can see where the bolt is going through.you will only see threads looking from the top of the engine

Step 6: Now that you located the bolt go down on the car and you can see the bolt right where your axle is follow it where the transmission is and you can see it is very hidden but is there. Once you locate it use a wobble socket, is not necessary but is easier. Remove it with a 5/8 socket. Bolt is really long. Once you remove it starter/solenoid is ready to come out.

Step 7: Now you need to kind of flip the starter and see there is a blue pin on the connector get a flat head screw driver and pull the pin connector back it should slide out. uploadfromtaptalk1465496703580.jpg

Step 8: Now remove the bracket (bolts should be out by now) set it aside and try to play with the starter to take it out. Little room to play with.I found loosening my sway bar bolts made it easier to manuver and take it out. Now you are done replace it and put new and reverse position.
