    21" Wheel Options?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So it seems like most wheel manufacturers don't really make many (if any) wheels in a 21" size.

Outside of getting bespoke forged wheels for $10k+/set, does anyone have a lead on any good wheels in this size range?

If you've got 21s on, lets see them.

The TSW Bathurst wheels look awesome, I was highly considering them for my S4 before I ended up getting the Vorsteiners.

Vossens are looking like a good option too. They seem to have the right dimensions.

As soon as my RS7 arrives (expected July/Aug) I'll be selling the stock/OEM wheels which are the new 21" 5-double-arm design wheels (High Gloss Black finish). These are different than the classic 5 spoke RS7 wheels.

I know I'm a bit crazy... but I'm considering a 21"/22" staggered setup, maybe Vossen VPS-305T, either 10.5J all round or wider at the back. I was going to have 15/18mm spacers for the front and rear stock respectively to bring them out almost flush with the fenders. I'm still a little confused over offset etc - can anyone help? Does anyone have any advice on achieving such a ridiculous setup? :P

Tyres I was thinking 275/30/21 front (current tyre size on the stock wheels) and 265/30/22 for the rears. I know I should drop the profile to 25 but I don't particularly want to - the difference between these two is 2.9% which, as I understand it, isn't too bad?

    Advice welcome...

Honestly I think you are overthinking it too much! You have AWD obviously but why run a staggered setup? Especially when you can get 21x10.5 with the correct offset that will look pimp with no spacers needed. On top of that you can rotate the dang things.
Lastly, I would not be into having a wider tire in the front than on the rear. Just seems weird. But just my .02, and you did say advice welcome!!!

Haha, yes advice is welcome! I don't like the idea of having a wider tyre at the front either, but 275/30/22 doesn't seem to exist and unless I go for 295/30/22 (5% difference to stock wheel) then I don't think I will find tyres easily.

I think a staggered setup would suit the profile of the car because I've always found on my S5 and the RS7 that the rear wheels seem to look smaller! I think the extra inch would compliment the fastback/sportback lines of the car. I just don't know if its possible or not! 10.5J all around sounds like it'll fill the arches a lot better than the 9J which are stock, but then I'm confused about offset... Manufacturers seem to list the 10.5J spec but nothing about offset and this is the first time I'm thinking of changing wheels on a car from stock so I'm a little lost!

Our suggestion is to stick with a square setup. No concerns, no faults, no headaches. It has worked, and looked flawlessly over the years. Just our .02!
