AWE Exhaust

Hey guys, I plan to get an AWE exhaust for my SQ5 and want to hear your expertise.

I am thinking about buying and installing it at AWE headquarters at PA. The exhaust cost $1995 and they are charging $115/hr labor and it takes around 2.5 hours for the job.

Is it a reasonable price or there are other reputable shops near NYC or Long Island where I can buy and install it for a better price?

Will installing a non-resonating down-pipe affect the warranty? Thanks!

Thanks and install only. I think if you purchase via Eurotech MS they do free install.

I ordered my AWE Touring through Eurotech in Mahwah, NJ. (having it installed this coming Monday).

They don't charge for the install if you order through them.

Well, I placed the order for the exhaust on April 28, and received a call from Eurotech on June 2nd that the exhaust has finally come in... The next opening appointment they offered me was a week later, on June 9th but I couldn't make it, so I requested this coming Monday, the 13th.

Long story short, it's a long wait, but it's only because AWE builds them to order. So unless you can buy it from a vendor that happens to have a unit in stock, you're looking at roughly 4-6 week lead time.

Will definitely be updating my build thread on Monday. Stay tuned!

I'm in northern jersey also looking to have the same AWE Touring exhaust put in - was going back and forth on downpipes or not, but after hearing yours I think I can save a few bucks and leave the stock ones in.

I'll be contacting both ExceleratePerformance and EuroTech for quotes...thanks for posting!!

My car was there for 6 hours getting exhaust, springs, shocks, pads, front and rear sway bars, and end links.

I'd say the exhaust part took about an hour.

I'll save you the time. Get it from Eurotech. They don't charge for install if you order it through them. I also checked with Exeler8 prior, and theirs was more expensive (because they charge for the install).
